Next Event: John Wayne Air Traffic Control Tower Tour

LAX Airfield Tour Re-Cap

On August 15th, 2024, Rising Aviators had its first event. We toured the Los Angeles International Airport on a bus, starting and ending at the wonderful Flight Path Museum. We went directly on the airfield and got to see the beauties of aviation!

Here are some of the most memorable parts of the tour:

1. Watching planes land and takeoff!

2. We visited the spot right next to where Air Force One parks, and although we did not see the President today, it was still quite interesting to see!

3. Seeing the massive United hangar!

4. Seeing the enormous Qantas Hangar and a massive Qantas A380 right next to it!

5. We saw Hangar One, a beautiful Spanish architecture hangar created near the inception of LAX Airport.

6. Seeing the LAX Air Traffic Control Tower!

7. Watching a massive Asiana Airlines A380 roar past us while taxiing!

8. Access to the Flight Path Museum – what a rich place of aviation history!

9. Taking pictures directly next to historical aircraft and the massive Boeing 747 behind us!

We would like to give a thank you to Charles Pannunzio for all his help in coordinating the tour, all staff personnel who helped us, the Flight Path Museum, where we began and ended our trip, and the Los Angeles Airport Authority (LAWA) for making this trip possible!

Thank you, and please stay on the lookout for future events! We will be visiting the John Wayne Air Traffic Control in September, so stay on the lookout for that.
